well for one its the easy …. i tried using reason and it took to much to get into it … also ….its easy to get help with it through youtube or whatever most the people i know use fl so i dont want to use something that its gonna be hard to get help with …..

I gotta go with ableton man! I love that thing. I’ve tried pretty much all of them and Live is the best. But flstudio is dope too, I don’t like reason/cubase at all.

FL STUDIO IS THE BEST SHIT OUT, IF WHAT YOUR DOING… IDEAL FOR SAMPLING.. U CAN MAKE PRETTY DOPE ORIGINAL TRACKS TOO IF U HAVE GOOD VST’S…. I’VE BEEN USING FOR THE PAST 6YRS, AND IT HASN’T DONE ME WRONG YET!!!!!

I have 2 go with ableton live….its a beast…..limitless creativity i been using it for 2 years now…lets not talk about the sampling functions and what not……excellent for that real hip-hop shit….boom-bap….one

imma go wit logic. most ppl dont like it cuz they dont know how to use it. i think u can do so much more wit it than fl.

Reason is my tool of choice. After so many years of using hardware I wanted to have a setup I can take on the go so I decided to the software route. I started off with FL Studio and I like FL Studio as well but then switch to Reason and haven’t looked back.

REASON is the shiiit, but it’s not for everyone. only the nerdiest of producers care to actually get behind and wire their gear, or manufacture their on synth sounds with raw waves and filters. recycle is easily found on the web too, which only makes more creative fun.

but it’s fun for me!

preciate evrybod’ees comments first off, but lemme jus say I think it all comes down to personal choice. I’ve used everythang from the not so popular sofware 2 tha sofware evry otha produca uses. n doin so I KNOW MY BUDGET!!!! Hey, much luv 2 all tha producaz out there, DO what u LUV and LUV what u DO. I program my drums with the mpc pads . then dump the drums in pro tools .
Rewire reason and drop some melodys and bass. i then plug in my guitar to the preamp then the compressor , then into pro tools , i use guitar rig 2 for sounds and they sound fresh most of the time , i recently fixed my bass and those sounds are real funky as well . Got about 500 records , mostly from diggin in bins and i havent even chopped 20 of the records , so i have to start goin thru that stuff, i dont have much equipment so i use it creatively . i play with the axioum 25 , everything patched to a outboard mixer so i can pump the bass or cut it during mixing . i can also use the analog meter on the mixer to visually see where my tracks is at . This makes it a whole easier to get a loud mix that sounds good . Sometimes it sounds good but wont even hit the middle of the analog meter , that is not good for the net , too low , so i use that for that .
i started in fruity loops 3 . it was cool , the sounds and manipulation that i can do i reason is really crazy however , i can make the sound i need and after a while that was the problem i had with fl . now i can record a real synth or keyboard and dump that in reason use filters and eq’s and make a whole new sound , that is what’s up !

i have been using fruity loops since its demo beginning,
(fl.1 demo)….and i must say it has come a long way,and it is the only software drum machine that broke me away from the traditional M.P.C. SP12, ASR…ETC
and dont get it twisted about the features, because if you truly master fruity loops, you will find it to be the best thing since the creation of drum machines….PERIOD.
